[Character name] Ventus
[Age] Considering how [Vanitas looks like KHII Sora], I'm going with 15.
[Canon] Kingdom Hearts
[Point in time taken from canon] Right after getting pulled out of Neverland, but before landing in the Mysterious Tower.

[Background]
Wikia is my sweet prince.

[Personality]
At first glance, you may find Ventus to be very similar to Sora. They're both friendly, determined individuals who value their friends immensely and go out of their way just to keep them safe. They both have similar body language and ideals, and at one point of their respective stories, both of them even say that "their friends are their power", word for word.

However, it would be a mistake to say that Ventus is identical to Sora.

First of all, Ventus, as mentioned above, is a very friendly individual--and overly so. He always approaches others with a cheery disposition, and loves meeting new people and making new friends. In fact, when he first arrives at Disney Town, one of his very first lines is him musing out loud about whether or not he'd be able to make new friends during his stay there. No matter who it is or how long he's known them, he's always willing to help them out or stand up for them whenever they need him. A great example of this is how he steps in to protect Jaq from being harmed by Lucifer, or how he immediately volunteers to go save Mickey by himself when he was injured in the Keyblade Graveyard, even though they had only spoken once before this happened. He would do anything in order to keep his friends from harm's way, even if it means destroying his own heart and becoming nothing more than an empty shell.

Although he cherishes all of his friends on a fairly equal level, it's needless to say that Terra and Aqua are by far the most important to him. He admires and looks up to them like a younger brother would with his older siblings, and holds the memories they've formed together very close to his heart. As they've always been there for him, even when his heart was fractured due to Vanitas's creation, Ventus would like to return the favor to them someday by being there for them when they need him the most. Much like a younger brother idealizing his older siblings, Ventus has a hard time accepting that Terra and Aqua are capable of doing anything wrong, being unable to accept Terra's descent into the darkness until the end of the game and even then he still believes he's stronger than that. It is for this reason that he's so appalled when Aqua even suggests that Terra might have done some of the terrible things they saw in the previous worlds they've been to.

You could also say that Ventus is like a child who's heard the "you'll understand when you're older" routine one too many times. He is capable of being stubborn to a fault sometimes, and no matter how many times Aqua and Terra pleaded him to go back to the Land of Departure for his own safety, he still refused. Being treated like a kid annoys him greatly, as well as when he's not taken seriously because of his age and when secrets are kept from him, which is why he's decided to find out the answers by himself. When Vanitas gave him the incentive to leave home by telling him that Terra would leave him behind and become another person, Ventus went on his own journey to see if this was true--to prove that jerk who had basically waltzed into his room and started spouting lies about his friends wrong. Another example of this is when he finds out about the true purpose behind his existence, and by extension, the real reason as to why he had never been allowed to leave the Land of Departure until he ran away: because he was the only one capable of creating the χ-blade. He is hurt and angered by this revelation and decides to confront his master about this once he is sent back to the Land of Departure.

Another thing to understand about Ventus is that he has a tendency to be naive sometimes. Due to his extremely sheltered life in the Land of Departure, he tends to rush into things without really thinking about them and is very easy to get excited. He is shown to be fascinated by the littlest of things, such as when he woke up to a meteor shower and immediately rushed outside in the middle of the night to find a perfect spot where to watch it, or when he was amazed by watching the dwarves march towards their mine in the Drawf Woodlands, as he had never seen anything like it before. He tends to be extremely curious at times, and if he sees something that sparks his curiosity, he might as well run up to it or tip-toe just to get a glance.

Despite being so friendly, however, it's needless to say that he has his moments when he gets more than just a little upset. Usually, it's something along the lines of being treated like a naive little kid or somebody insulting his best friends, but Ventus is very much capable of becoming sullen or moody. For someone who always mentions his nickname after introducing himself with his full name, it's very notable that he leaves it out when he's in one of these moods, although he might mention it later on once he's back to being friendly if his first meeting with a person was when he was moody. Unless you manage to anger him or give him a reason to be wary of you, he will eventually lighten up and go back to being the overly friendly, cheerful kid he is most of the time.

Aside from that, one small tidbit about him is that, as noted by Aqua, he's a bit of a "lazy bum". Although not touched much upon during the game, in the scenes where Ventus takes an opportunity to rest his eyes for a "second", he somehow manages to pass out and pass out hard.

[Abilities]
Aaaaah, RPG game mechanics. I'll be describing the most important ones as briefly as possible below, since the actual list does tend to go one for a bit, but you can read up on the full list here.

Out of the trio formed by Aqua, Terra and Ventus, Ventus is the quickest attacker out of the three. In the time the two of them get one hit in, Ventus is capable of getting two or three wacks in and then dodge rolling out of the way before the enemy has a chance to counterattack. Like any other Keyblade wielder, he is capable of summoning his own Keyblade (the Wayward Wind) and utilizing magic, although he is decent at best next to others like Aqua. Like both Aqua and Terra, Ventus's own Keyblade allows him to open any kind of lock (including the ones on the hearts of other people, if you have the right skills), open up a portal to the Lanes Between (which he won't be able to do here, for obvious reasons), and the Wayward Wind, specifically, is capable of transforming into a hoverboard-like vehicle. Ventus also has three unique command styles which allow him to deal way more damage than your usual Aero or physical attack:
- Fever Pitch: Ventus attacks almost trice as many times as he does in a normal status, and can basically zip around the enemies in the blink of an eye with his enhanced speed.
- Cyclone: An upgrade from his Fever Pitch style. As the name implies, this one is all about Aero-based attacks, and allow Ventus to attack his enemies with powerful spinning attacks.
- Wingblade: Exactly what it says on the tin. This command style is pretty nifty because not only does it allow Ventus to attack from all directions, but his combos are much more faster than in any other previous command style. Basically, six "keyblades" made entirely out of light appear on his back and they float around him as he attacks.

Aside from that, Ventus is also capable of utilizing Dimension Links and Shotlocks. Dimension Links allow him to "connect" with his friends from across the Lanes Between and borrow their abilities, which he can they use as him own for a short period of time--supposedly, this comes from the spell Aqua cast on their Wayfinders to forge an "unbreakable connection" (as well to make up for the fact that they weren't real good luck charm). Shotlocks, on the other hand, allow him to aim at several enemies from long range and attack them using what are usually energy bullets of the sort, but there are also Shotlocks in which he gets to jump around the field as he attacks with his Keyblade.

[Other important stuff] [Master Xehanort] did a pretty good job at [ripping the darkness completely out of his heart], so anybody who's an ~aura reader~ or something of the sort might notice that he's very squeaky clean when it comes to this. Also, he has a tendency to wield his weapons in reverse grip and is pretty much the fragile speedster trope in shota form. :'| The little chunk of metal on his shoulder is also not for total "asymmetry is kewl desu" reasons, as slamming his fist against it tapping it oh-so-gently activates his armor.

[First Person]
( If you could go back home, would you? Why or why not? )
I know Terra and Aqua want me to go back home as soon as possible... But I can't. Not when there's a chance that my friends are in danger! Terra said he knew I'd be there for him when he really needed me, and I'm not about to let him down!

( Someone comes to you to ask for the time. How would you respond? )
I'll tell 'em the time, of course! It'd be pretty mean if I just ignored them, and weird too.

( You are a given a mission. Would you complete it effectively or would you goof off and do something else? Expand a little on the response. )
I'll give it the best I can without slacking off! Everyone's probably counting on me to do it, and I'm not gonna let them down. I can probably relax later when I'm done anyways.

( You have two options: either save your friend who is hanging from a cliff, or chase after the bad guy who put them in a position. If you choose the former, the bad guy will get away and it will be hard to catch him. If you choose the latter, the cliff will crumble and the friend will fall to the spiky rocks below. What do you do and why? )
'Course I'll save my friend! It doesn't matter if the bad guy gets away, my friends always come first! And between me and them, we'll probably track the guy down and catch him in no time!

( What is more important to you: having friends or living on your own? Why? )
Having friends! I'd be lost if I didn't have Terra or Aqua with me back home, and living alone sounds like it'll get pretty lonely really fast.

( There is a cake in the rain. What do you do? )
Uh... Wait. Why'd there be cake out in the rain in the first place? It'd get all soggy and you wouldn't be able to eat it anymore.

[Third Person]
He thinks he's gotten used to this place by now.

It was a little weird at first, not knowing where Mickey's Star Shard had decided to suddenly take him or why his Keyblade suddenly refused to open up the Lanes Between--but it could be worse; this was just a minor inconvenience. The people here were friendly, and had even helped explain to him what this place was (a "dream world", they said--which didn't really make all that sense to him considering that he couldn't be dreaming if he was awake, but he's seen and heard of weirder stuff during his journey, he supposes). It had only been less than a week or so since his arrival, and despite the fact that he was pretty sure those Scarecrows were out to get him, it wasn't bad. It wasn't something he minded.

But it wasn't something he liked either.

Being stuck here meant he couldn't leave after he was done exploring this place, and not being able to leave meant that he wouldn't be able to go catch up with Terra and Aqua. The Lanes Between refused to work and according to the other people stuck here, his only option was to remain here until this "dream world" decided that it was time for him to go back, just like that. It could be months, or even years before he found a way out, and if he really was awake, by the time he went back everything could have changed. Terra could have become a different person.

Ventus sighs, idly walking down the streets of Somni as he glanced around at his surroundings. It was the second district, or something like that (he still wasn't quite used to the way each district was called, honestly), and despite the fact that he was pretty sure he would get lost this way, it still sparked his curiosity to see so many stores together in the same place. Not even in worlds like Disney Town or Radiant Garden had he seen something like this before--it was almost overwhelming, something he had never seen before.

Terra and Aqua would have liked to see this with him. Probably.

He finds himself shoving his hand into one of his pockets, out of habit, feeling around for the familiar good luck charm Aqua had given him and holding it in front of his face once he finds it. It was probably a little more than just a bit silly how he missed his friends now more than he had when all three of them were separated on their own journey's, but it probably had to do with the fact that unlike back then, here there wasn't any chance of running into them randomly. Even if the other people who were stuck here said that his friends might show up eventually, that would mean they would be stuck here too, and that wasn't something he would wish on Terra or Aqua. No matter how much he missed them or wanted to be with them again, or how peaceful this place seemed to be, they had more important things to take care of and the last thing he wanted was for them to not be able to finish what Master Eraqus sent them out to do.

There's a small smile tugging at his lips as he gives the good luck charm one last look, remembering the memories attached to it before proceeding to shove it in his pocket. That's right, as long as he had his memories of his friends, everything would be alright. Even if they were scattered between the various worlds, their good luck charms were more than enough proof of their bond--one that wouldn't be broken no matter how far or how long they were from each other. It didn't matter if he wouldn't be able to see them for a while, maybe, because as long as they had their memories of each other they would never grow apart.

"Don't worry about me guys..." He begins, muttering to himself as he continues to probably get more and more lost in the streets of Somni. "I'm right behind you, I promise."

And even if it took him forever to find a way out of this place, he would be there when they needed him. He would show them he could take care of himself just as both of them could, and then everything would be alright.

[Why do you want to play this character in Somarium?] Because I really want a male character who is genuinely nice with no strings attached on my muse list, and the muse has been bothering me for a while since I picked up the game. Also, we have KH characters here, so it could be pretty amusing. o/
[Which rule was your favorite and why?] Again, playercest.
[Where did you hear about Somarium?] --
[Any questions?] D-Derp, this probably has been answered before in one of the old KH apps, but digging through the comment pages is kind of tedious, so. ;; What limitations would there be for Keyblade and ability usage here (if he can even use them)? Also: if we ever get a Vanitas, there will probably be a lot of trolling attempts in order to force Ven to create the χ-blade with him. I'm guessing the answer would be "nothing", but just to make sure, would anything happen?
