02. IC INFORMATION
Name: Hazama Rei
Series: Doubt
Universe: AU
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Species: Human
Powers & Abilities: While not exactly a supernatural ability, Rei is, to put it simply, a hypnotist. While she can not hypnotize everyone, she can use her hypnotism to control the minds of those who are emotionally weak.
Point of canon to be drawn from: N/A

Personality: Shy, timid, kind, and polite; these are all words that could be used to sum up Hazama Rei perfectly.

Despite the fact that Rei used to be a star on television, she is, surprisingly enough, a kind, timid girl who would rather help others out than herself. She feels uncomfortable whenever she is in large crowds (and avoids them whenever it is possible), never raises her voice, and speaks far too politely for what one would expect from a sixteen year old girl.

All in all, Rei is a perfect, polite, quivering pile of nerves.

Not exactly the kind of person you'd expect to be a sociopath who only uses people for her own vain amusement, right?

The real Rei doesn't care about you, honestly. She only cares about herself and her dear mother and father, who killed themselves due to the pressure given to them by all of those who mocked her. If you're useful to her, then, lovely, get in line. But if your not? Then, oh well, time for you to feel the same kind of suffering her parents did.

After all, if her mama and papa couldn't be happy, then why should anybody else be?

Rei is also very intelligent, capable of coming up with plans to wreak vengeance against all of the "liars" time and time again, and the one time that somebody ruined her plans, she quickly improvised and got rid of them.

Appearance: Hazama Rei is, to put it bluntly, the stereotypical "moe" girl; something that aids her greatly when it comes to fooling others into believing that she is innocent. She has light, amethyst eyes, and long purple hair that almost reaches her waist. Her outfits are very varied, ranging from flashy, for when she is "Saimin Shoujo Rei", to modest, for when she is "herself" (or rather, the fake personality she puts up in front of others).

History: Rei's life history includes the most normal story of a normal girl living a normal life in a normal country.

Or at least, as normal as life for a child star could get.

Originally born and raised in Este, Rei and her family moved to a condominium in Norte after her talent for hypnotism was discovered by the media. From there on, she lived a relatively normal and happy life with her parents, appearing as the star in a hypnotism show called Saimin Shoujo, and was know by all of her peers as the Saimin Shoujo.

Rei's parents couldn't be more proud of her, everyone she knew looked up to her, and, honestly, her life couldn't get better.

So, instead, it got worse.

First, it started with a little theory from a relatively unknown reporter, that, maybe, her hypnotism was fake and she only used people who were easy to trick. No problem. After all, it was just one person, somebody who nobody really knew, so it wouldn't affect her image at all, right?

Well, no. Not really.

Soon enough, the media exploded with reports and theories about how her hypnotism was fake, and the Saimin Shoujo hype ended. Everyone around her did a complete turnaround and began calling her a liar. Her parents, however, never said a word about it, and the media kept harassing her.

Of course, you'd think that as soon as people started falling from the sky, the media would move on and start covering that instead.

Wrong.

Instead, all of the reporters who still wrote positive stories about her moved on to cover what many called The Second Restart, and the reporters that remained kept on lying. No matter what Rei said and did, nobody believed her, and with the phenomenon that was occurring, she had even less opportunities to clear her name. Eventually, the harassment got to the point where she couldn't even go to school without somebody calling her out, and Rei secluded herself.

One day, her parents told her to get dressed, then got on the car, and proceeded to drive the car off the nearest bridge.

They died. She survived.

Three weeks later, Rei puts on a pretty smile for the camera, says her catchphrase, and moves on to exact her revenge in her parents name, using the very same hypnotism everyone called fake.

Saimin Shoujo's last episode was the best one in the whole season, or so they said.

(( OU "history" here and here. ))

03. SAMPLES
Third Person: Saimin Shoujou canceled! Actress Hazama Rei goes out with a bang after exposure?

The words were printed in bold, black letters across the pages of the newspaper. Just another side story between a thousand other.

Rei leans back in her chair, placing the newspaper on the table, before ripping open a small packet of sugar before pouring its contents into her coffee. She would let the media believe what it wanted to believe. If they wanted to call her hypnotism fake, then so be it. She wasn't going to lose any sleep over something so silly and insignificant as that, not when those same idiots who called her hypnotism fake would soon get to learn just how fake it is.

They would learn how much her mama and papa had to suffer because of that "fake" hypnotism, and that made all those stories and reports worth it.

She smirks, tracing the rim of the cup in front of her with her index finger, just imagining the look on their faces as they learn that, oh, maybe she wasn't a fake at all, before glancing at the title again.

She giggles.

"Goes out with a bang, indeed..." And the she proceeds to pick up the cup in front of her.

Journal Post: [ There's some light rustling, before a shaky, female voice starts speaking. ]

M-My... My show was canceled to create more t-time slots in the channel...

I-I knew this was coming, b-but not this s-soon...

A-Ah...

[ ...And there's some noise that sounds like muffled crying, before the girl clears her throat and starts speaking again. ]

Either way... H-How is everyone?

Today looks like it's going to be a nice day, right?
